The DogWatch® Hidden Fence System keeps your pet safe both outdoors and indoors. The system has three components:
- Transmitter
- Wire buried around your property
- Receiver worn on your dog's collar.
How It Works
DogWatch functions using a simple, five-step process.
- A transmitter is plugged into a standard electrical outlet and converts electricity into a patented FM radio signal.
- Your dealer will adjust the signal field to establish a radio boundary that prevents your dog from leaving the yard.
- Using specialized equipment in a minimally intrusive way, DogWatch installs commercial-grade wire that is properly buried, through roots, rocks and hard soil to last throughout the lifetime of your system.
- DogWatch fits your dog with a receiver and collar that monitors your dog's activity and warns your pet with an audible beep if he or she gets close to the boundary, depending on your setup.
- DogWatch professionals train your pet to retreat from the perimeter when he or she hears the warning. If your pet tries to move through the boundary, he or she will receive an adjustable stimulation that reinforces the training and keeps them in the yard.

The boundary loop of electrical wire lets your dog run and play throughout your entire yard. Smaller inner loops protect gardens and pools.
Technical Facts
With 12 adjustable levels built into the receiver, DogWatch has the ideal setting for your dog, ranging from a "beep only" to various degrees of correction.
Only DogWatch has a patented digital FM design, which is more reliable than AM systems in preventing unintentional correction (i.e., electrical shocks) caused by stray radio signals.
Technology
Our transmitters and receivers offer the fastest reaction time if your dog challenges the boundary to your yard. A dog running just 10 mph travels more than 7 feet/second. Our receivers act in 1/8 of a second to prevent your dog from "running through" the fence.
Battery Life
in Industry
Our 3.6 volt SAFT battery installed in the R8 Receiver now lasts for two years - the longest battery life in the industry.
Our 3.0 volt battery used in the R7 Receiver lasts 4-6 months.
Both receivers have indicator lights to tell you when the batteries are low.
